National wholesaler JJ Food Service has invested £15m to open three new branches in Dagenham, Newcastle upon Tyne and Leicester, which are scheduled to be fully operational in the autumn.

The Dagenham branch, just nine miles from the city centre, is a state-of-the-art purpose built site located by the A13 near the River Thames. At 26,300sqft and 12m high it’s the tallest of the wholesaler’s eleven branches and is the third to be fitted with solar panels.

The Newcastle site is 37,000sqft and just one mile from the city centre while Leicester is 32,000sqft and three miles west of the city centre. Both branches have been renovated with new fencing, cladding, roofs featuring skylights and showrooms fitted with touch screens for online ordering.

Chief Executive Officer at JJ, Mustafa Kiamil, said, “Moving near the hearts of these cities will bring our business closer to customers, helping them to make great savings when they click and collect.”

The branches will be open every day for collection, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Next day deliveries will be available for all orders placed before 9pm.
