The collective growth of Fairway Foodservice’s members increased from £715m to £801.5m in 2018, with the majority of its 20 members experiencing growth in the past 12 months.

The buying group’s turnover stood at £66m in 1995 and has increased year on year ever since, said chief executive Chris Binge. “Hard work, focusing on quality products and quality service gets its reward for our members who have experienced growth of 12% in a challenging environment,” he said.

“Our wholesalers work very hard to meet the ever-increasing demands of caterers by delivering quality products at the right time at competitive prices. We constantly seek to improve and enhance our support and have recognised that integrating digital into their operations will play a crucial role in continuing to win and retain customers.”
